I am a Montana native born and raised in eastern Montana in the small community of Hysham, where my parents still reside. I attended the University of Montana in Missoula where I earned a Bachelor of Sociology degree and met my husband, Rich Magera, from St. Regis. After graduation from the University, we moved to Browning, Montana, where I worked for the Browning Public Schools as a mental health coordinator. My husband returned to the University of Montana and received his commission in the U.S. Army. Thereafter, we spent 23 years with the military, living and working on the east coast, west coast, in Texas and in Europe.
We moved to Sanders County in 2002 and finished building our home in Plains last summer. My husband is the Superintendent of Schools in Plains, and I am in private law practice.
Our son, Jason, is a Montana National Guard technician who resides in Helena, Montana, with his wife, Wendy, and their two daughters, Sarah and Heather.

I also take an active part in my community, attending local community events adn volunteering my time to several civic organizations, including the Sanders County Relay for Life, LBSI Little Bitterroot Services, Inc., Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and the Plains Woman's Club.

I enjoy camping, golfing and skiing with my family, especially my granddaughters. For relaxation, I work in my gardens and read.
